Immunomodulatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties of signaling protein (SP) has been demonstrated in numerous clinical studies and publications of the world’s medical and biochemical literature. Also demonstrated the potent of pro and anti-inflammatory activity and tissue growth stimulation – referred to such important from the point of view of the healing and remodeling of wound proteins, such as PDGF (Platelet-derived Growth Factor), TGF (Transforming Growth Factor), VEGF (Vascullar Endothelial Growth Factor) or EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), FGF (Fibroblast Growth Factor), IGF (Insulin-like Growth Factor), NGF (Nerve Growth Factor), as well as lactoferrin, – one of the most important.

In the whole process of wound after hemostasis phase, begins on the next important stage, inflammatory, which is essentially a precursor to the proper healing process. However, an excessive or too long inflammatory phase may lead to difficulties healing and non-healing wound formation. However, as already mentioned, the SP may act pro and anti-inflammatory, may therefore affect the phase of the healing adjustment.


Several studies have shown the impact of BS and related peptides on the secretion of inflammatory cytokines (interleukin), IL-1, IL-6, IL-8, IFN-γ, TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor) and ROS (reactive oxygen species) and also MIP-1α (macrophage inflammatory protein), MCP-1 (monocyte chemotactic protein), which may contribute to the inflammatory process in the wound.

In the regenerating process BS fibroblasts stimulated mRNA expression of collagen and the gene encoding the hyaluronan synthase gene 2. Aim of the study.

The research worldwide aimed at creating a universal drug / dressing based on BS, the use of which would enable the application in every phase of the healing process. The test properties are transdermal transport of various facilities, as well as their ability to release of active at the time, depending on the carrier material used and its physicochemical properties. Adopted various methods of testing efficiency.

Polish medical experiment, as part of these studies, is part of these efforts by proposing a solution based on the presented results and to measure the effectiveness of the use of medical imaging, specifically thermography. We planned and prepared for the implementation of a broad clinical trial of 120 people with double blind trials, which aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of specific biochemical solutions.

Presenting the legitimacy and recognition of the planned experiment is to show the practical side of the last stage of clinical trials aimed at standardizing the use of signaling proteins in the treatment and prevention of difficult to heal wounds.
